Elly stories

Logan had to go back to school today, but he desperately wanted to go wake Elly up before he left to tell her goodbye. Of course, I wouldn't let him, but it just gives a little insight into how sweet their love for one another is. Elly went down for her nap before I left to get Logan from school (Jarrod was home today) and she didn't wake up until 4 hours later. She awoke very groggy and upset. The only way I got her out of her bed was to ask if she wanted to go see Logan, so she got out and went to his room, then the livingroom, then looked at me and with the saddest little face, said "I see Logan!!" Here are a few of the things that happened around here while Logan was gone:

1. I'm on the computer (it is cyber Monday, you know...) and I hear Elly (who has the phone up to her ear) saying in a pretty upset voice: "God? God, here is your money. Take your monies!" She proceeds to try shoving her coins into the phone to get them to God.

2. I'm getting dressed in my room and Elly walks in with a mischevious grin and says "I didn't do anything." I'm thinking--this is not starting out well...Here's our conversation:
Me: "what do you mean you didn't do anything?"
E: "I didn't touch anything"
Me: "What did you not touch?"
E: "nothing"
E: " I didn't open you-a draw-a" (your drawer)
Me: "Did you get into your drawers?"
E: "no, I DIDN'T do ANYTHING"
Me: "oh dear, Elly. Lets go see what you didn't do"
E: "I didn't get your bracelet."
Me: "No, you didn't get my bracelet because you weren't in my room"
E: "My room is a mess"
when we got to her room, she had in fact gotten into her drawer where I keep her James Avery bracelets and she had in fact opened a box, but it wasn't one that had a bracelet in it. And indeed her room was a mess, but thankfully that had nothing to do with the opened drawer.

That girl is going to keep me hopping for the rest of my life I'm afraid.

Upwards Football 2010

Tonight marks the closing ceremonies for the Upwards Football season. Logan has been wanting to play football and he was finally old enough this year. He did a fantastic job and of course loved every minute of it. He scored two touchdowns in each of his first two games. I love the shot below--he caught this ball in a crowd of boys and got away from them all and ran it back for a touchdown. AWESOME fun to watch.
