Landon Rolls over

On July 31, Landon started rolling over. Jarrod got to see him the first time, so I grabbed the camera and was able to see it right afterwards and catch it all with the camera. He's been going ever since and is Mr. Rolly Polly. I love the last one where he is grinning from ear to ear--so proud of himself!

Jarrod's dad (aka: Pops) brought this home from the deer lease a few weeks after Logan was born for him. We have pictures of a much smaller Logan in this outfit, but I had forgotten to take pictures of Landon in it, so this morning I snapped a few. These pictures show how Landon's coloring is changing. He still has a "row" of the jet black hair he was born with, but the new is much lighter and you can tell by his eyebrows how light he's becoming. I still think his coloring will be somewhere between Logan and Elly's.

Happy 4th of July!!

This year was a bit non-traditional for us for the 4th of July. Usually, I love all of the festivities and we try to pack in as much as possible. This year, my sister and her family were supposed to be here, but plans fell through at the last minute and we decided to just be really low key. We enjoyed just being together around the house and swimming in our neighbor's pool. Fun, simple family time--we've not had nearly enough of that in the past six months, so it was nice to just enjoy one another.

Elly wouldn't give up the headband for anything, so I decided to just let it go--this is the phase she's in and knowing her...will always be in. She LOVES her accessories--matching or not!

The morning after Logan's hernia surgery, he was laying on the couch with Landon and Elly just needed to keep hugging him. Love these kids!

Deal...

Okay, I don't normally do this, but I couldn't resist this one. Inspired by Lisa, I had to share the deal I got between CVS and Walgreens three Sunday's ago. I won't bore you with all of the details since all of these sales are off now, but I just want to give you proof of why clipping coupons and looking at sales papers pays off. I got paid 45 cents for all of these items. Yes, you read that right...but here's how--I clipped coupons and used some CVS and Walgreens bucks and got the following items for 3.55 out of my pocket. In turn I earned $4.00 in Extra Care Bucks at CVS to use on my next visit. If you don't shop CVS, you should. It took me a LONG time to get on the bandwagon there, but I've been on it with Walgreens forever. It truly does pay off--you get so many items for so little with just a little bit of work (I think it took me an hour to clip and go through the paper that day--and the value of the items below is worth over $50--and YES, we use all of these items with the exception of the men's bodywash, but I got paid $3.00 to buy it, so I did.)
